Tori Bowie ended her impressive IAAF World Championship run with two gold medals when she anchored Team USA to victory in the 4x100m relay Saturday in London.
The team of Aaliyah Brown, Allyson Felix, Morolake Akinosun, and Bowie beat Great Britain for gold with a winning time of 41.82, a current world lead.
Without Olympic champion Elaine Thompson, the Jamaican team finished third in 42.19. Thompson finished fifth in the 100m final, presumably as a result of a nagging Achilles injury that has plagued her for several weeks.
Bowie's performance took place after she dove to the finish line to edge out Marie Josee Ta Lou to win the 100m final. She returned on Saturday to lead the Americans to victory once again.
Team USA's performance took place one year after winning gold at the 2016 Olympic Games.
