LOOK BACK: Mark after running 2:36:07 at the 2008 New York City Marathon. Yeah, even with inconsistent training he pulled of sub-6:00 min pace.
Check out Mark's workout leading up to his marathon debut HERE.

Mark has talent. He barely trained for this. He ran 9:30 as a freshman in high school for 3200m. |

Question!

Solid clip dude. Did you do any out of the ordinary refueling? In other words, did you just take the race drinks on the course or did you do anything different. Just curious. ~ PAUL |

So could you at least tell us if your going to run another one in the near future and if so when? You could drop a lot of time still. |

I am wondering when we will get to see the "fingers to the sky" finish line photo. That might definately win the weekly photo contest. |

Mark, how come the gps said your total was 2:34:58 and Ryan logged it at 2:34:59, but the official is 2:36:07? It is pretty amazing that out of 37,500 marathoners, you came in as the 88th person to cross the finish line. When looking at the official site, I can see why alot of people enter just to finish. What a great way to start year number 3 on Flotrack. (Yes, Ryan, we are looking for some extra suprises out of you too!) |

Great time. Glad you fessed up about the training. I was about to call bs on that. Time to return to your roots and run Chicago instead of giving NY the props. |

The only thing that this site is dedicated to is creating a community around our sport. This is a perfect "day of rest" from politics, especially on the two year anniversary of Flotrack.....with Mark's marathon debut.... |
