Coming off of a serious back surgery only about 9 months before the Olympic Games and with no base under him, Nate Brannen was able to make the Games (semi-finals actually) and set a PB in the 1500 (3:34). Nate replays what he went through during '08 while trying to stay positive and fulfill his dream of becoming an Olympian. He also gives a look towards '09 and some goals that he would like to accomplish.

Yep, I admit. I'm embarrassed at how I allow my little aches and pains to hold me back from doing the deal. Nate is great. Thanks.

You're looking at the future Canadian 1500m record holder right there. Give it 3 or 4 years and Sully's gonna lose his record to Nate.

man that is soo inspiring, makes all the little injuries, really, seem so meager and so easy to overcome.

just stay positive and great things will hopefully follow

Nate's the man. Good luck in '09.

Whatever happened to him as an 800 runner anyway?
