What will be his lifetime PR ? I say 9.46 in 2012 olympics. Anyone else think this is possible?Alright here's one more step deeper into analysis, if Bolt takes 40 strides and his shorter competitors take 45 strides in the 100m, that means he takes a approx. a ninth less strides to complete a race. Let's say the a 45 strider takes 10 sec to complete their race. If bolt was to have this shorter person's stride speed, he'd be approaching a 9 flat or better(8.8889 to be exact). However you can't rely on the math to close because of starts proportionately and other factors that wouldn't allow simple math and it's also a bit much to expect two athletes to run the same, so I don't expect Bolt to actually get that fast. His larger frame would likely not be able to mimic the shorter athletes. It is amazing though how much 5 less strides in a race amounts to. If you watch any races and count steps, pause shorter athletes at Usain's stride count to see a good comparison and example. |

tyson gay looks so jealous at 1:04Definitely some type of mad or just focused face, he said he felt he could run that fast after the race, so maybe. He could be thinking anything at that point though. So close to a 9.6, could've proved he was capable of 9.68 regardless of having wind or not, he lost his wallet etc. . . anything although most likely it related to the interview. |

He'll have to get close to having turnover speed like tyson gay, some people say Bolt's turnover is faster than most shorter but no, it's fast for his size and just fast period. Just imagine the time if he did have their turnover or stride speeds. A lot harder to power through those larger legs. |

man 9 flat doesnt seem that far from possible in some Miracle years to come.Even though Bolt is smashing records like it's a normal thing, I still expect at least two more olympics to pass before someone gets close. |

Tyson Gay ran a great race, I think he could definitely go lo 9.6, maybe high 9.5, Bolt, I think he's gonna keep going and get low 9.5, maybe break 9.5, like he said, anything's possible |
