One of the greatest track and field seasons that I have ever seen, from beginning to end by a collegian. Huge contrats to you Jenny B. Your interviews and smile are totally infectious. Keep on doing what you've been doing. Don't change any of your preparation. It's so much fun to watch you run, race, and compete. Can't wait to see what the future holds for you! |

Those announcers made me so mad. Kept saying how bad Barringer is doing and all that then she gets fifth! Its like the announcers dont have a clue what there talking about for any of the distance events. Awesome race Jenny you crushed your AR!! Good luck in cross. |

I hope you realize that the outdoor 2000meters American Record is waiting for someone like you to reset it. It's something like a 5:32.7 from about '84. You can run sub-5:30. I noticed the day you ran your sub-4 1500m that the Pre meet had a 2000m, so that's why I thought of it. It's an old record that needs to be broken. Good luck, Jenny! |

Her chances of medalling in those events, at least on paper were better than the steeple. I am just saying that you can tell she loves a challenge maybe even more than just a hollow win. She is awesome and there is nothing you can say to change that. If you look at many american runners they run a slow pace if the pace is slow (who can forget the 2008 olympic 5000) and I have not seen Jenny do that. Anyway, I am not interested in getting in an argument with anyone. I have my opinions and I follow elite running, at least on the computer, never seems to be on TV. |

Contrats Jenny B! You are awesome. I admire how you chose to run the steeple when you were practically guaranteed a medal in the 1500 or 5000. Shows you are a true runner with real guts and love a challenge. To those disappointed she didn't medal - that is crazy. She is world class all the way! And she is still a college student no less. She would've been "guaranteed a medal in the 1500 or 5000"? You're joking, right? |

I heart Jenny B! Thanks, Jenny, for a wonderful season, and to cap the season by crushing the American record, what more can you ask for?! It's truly been a pleasure to watch you perform, and to speak with such eloquence and graciousness. Get some well-deserved rest; can't wait to see you in cross! |

Can you imagine if all athletes were as enthusiastic and gracious with their time in interviews and blogs. I can think of no athlete from the big 3 (football, basketball, baseball) that even come close to her integrity. |

What a great interview. Her enthusiasm and love for this sport really comes through. A 10 second bettering of the AR is unbelievable, she should definitely be extremely proud of herself. And she's only gonna get better, what fun to watch! |

I love Jenny Barringer. She's so great and I can tell that she's so disappointed in her finish even though she does a great job hiding it. |
