Golden Gate Park in San Francisco is a great running venue in a beautiful setting. With over 1000 acres of trails, virtually every run has a different twist or turn. GGP was constructed during a 40 year period, turning the sand dunes of west San Francisco into a destination for visitors from around the world.

In the early 80s, the SF Marathon finished on the track at the Polo Grounds . . . talk about a straightaway that seems like it would never end! |

I wish there were more nice running trails located in more US cities. I think this would help to promote more people to run and be more active. |

Kevin-you should have visited the University of San Francisco! You were essentially a 3' jog away from it at the conservatory. how did you like the "upside down 8" as we call it! |

wow i did a long run there last summer when I was visiting. Really great place. I stood at the American Buffalo sign! And the living roof on the Academy of Sciences is very cool. But the exhibits inside are way cooler. And the dining area is well built. Very interesting modern architecture there. Worth a trip if you're in the area. |

Selby, no need to actually run in the running hotspot...it makes for shaky video. Hop on the bike. There is a need if you value authenticity. After all its not called Biking Hotspots. I applaud the Avant-Garde filming techniques. |

Selby, no need to actually run in the running hotspot...it makes for shaky video. Hop on the bike.Yeah, like putting the camera on a bike will make it any less shaky. lol Anyways, GG Park is awesome. Lou Vasquez Invite, one of the fastest 4 mile courses in the west. |

My wife was there yesterday. Some crack heads smashed the window of our Sienna, while she was walking with my grandkids. |
