I thought last night was great as well. Do you pay for the diamond league? That is also very good coverage.
But yes, I definitely plan to buy the Universal coverage again his summer. When you watch it together with Floeuro it makes for a summer of track coverage I couldn't even imagine 5 years ago. It makes Penn's web coverage this weekend look like a grade C- junior high video project.

I thought last summers DL coverage on Universal was very good in the live format because all the production (camera work, which events to show, when to cut away and when NOT to) and commentary (including Tim Hutchins!) was done by European TV, who are sadly way ahead of us.

Unfortunately the on-demand coverage posted later was typically all messed up by NBC/Universal. They would edit the footage in all the wrong ways and voice over the commentary with the lame NBC announcers. In Stockholm they cut out Solinsky's sub 13 5k and didn't even mention it. Thank god I recorded the live show and Flotrack was there to interview him. I wish Universal would just leave the live Euro coverage intact and post that as on-demand, or get Ryan, Mark and Selby to do the commentary and interviews.

I was told by the camera guy from Penn that the race videos should be archived on their site thepennrelays.com He said that the USA vs World races should be available by today. They filmed them and sent them to their internet provider, and then the internet provider had to send them back to them so there's a delay with some of the videos. I really want to rewatch some of those full races as well.

Overall I would give them a thumbs up on the coverage.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but I though it was dismal. A huge step back compared to Payton Jordan last night. Technical issues aside, I could barely watch it and I'm a track nut. I think the sport deserves much better. I'm willing to pay for decent coverage. Right now "decent" means done by Flotrack.

I'm willing to pay a bit for coverage, but that coverage has to be decent. This year some of us payed to get crappier coverage. Instead of value added, we got value decreased. They got our money once, but never again until it's full Flotrack.

Penn really blew it. It's hard to imagine how they thought this was a good idea. Penn is once again essentially an in-person only event. Hopefully they'll wake up.
Did Flotrack pay to film at Penn the previous years?
I am not going to lie when I say the Thursday coverage was spotty for a while. But then it cleared up and was great. I got Friday for free because I emailed them about the spotty coverage on Thursday. I didnt buy Saturday because I was busy. Overall I would give them a thumbs up on the coverage.
I am a huge Flotrack fan, a huge T&F fan and probably one of the few who is willing to pay. But I also can see from the business side of things. I would love to see the viewership numbers from Penn Sports, Universal and Flotrack.
Money can be made, partnerships can be made and the sport really can grow from grass roots level.

Does anyone know where I can view a video from the Penn Relays? So annoyed that flotrack is unable to show our race? I am willing to pay to see it if I have to.

Bill Cosby just called out the Jamaicans saying "Alright Philadelphia Public League we will show the Jamaicans something. They will probably win in 3:09"...bold statement
I know.. He said it like 3 times. I love the fact that he went out to shake the hands of the all the kid in the philly races.

Watching Races 1 year ago

So if penn blocked flo track from putting the races back up then how would i watch them again? do i have to pay penn relays ?

Wished I recorded event myself 1 year ago

Am I the only one optimistically thinking these missing races from Flotrack are just a temporary glitch? Why are some races available, ie. 10k, 3k, 4xmile relay, etc. available to view? Has an official from Penn Relays stated races would not be available from Flotrack? Are race coverages from prior years going to become unavailable next? Just a few questions to ponder.

I never thought I would see the day when the hurdle races @Drake were faster than @ Penn and what's ironic is the 2011 Drake collegiate hurdle 10 yr old record breaker and repeat champ (Letecia Wright) is from the same school, tOSU that once held the Penn record for 10 years (Donica Merriman)! Go Lady Buckeyes......Thanks Flotrack for GREAT videos of races. Baylor was movin @Drake!

I payed for all 3 days of coverage at Penn and most of the time it said... "We are experiencing technical difficulties" Annoyed that I can't watch the races I want to see....I love Flotrack though!! GO DUCKS...lol

wait so we still have to pay to see race videos after they've been ran? i mean i was at the penn relays but i just wanna see some of the races again because they were so good.

Below are the email addresses of the people who run Penn Relays, do Marketing and Media Relations. Tell them what you think of their decision to no longer allow Flotrack to go live or even post delayed race vids. Is it good for Penn Relays? Is it good for T+F?

Flotrack should be allowed to post. Penn is just trying to be greedy and keep all the money for themselves. They want to try and squeeze a few more dollars out of Penn Relays. They don't realize that this country is full of freeloaders who would rather not watch a race than pay a cent to see it. They could make more money through free viewing and advertisement deals than they could through pay-per-view. After all that is how the internet works. Just take a look at google.

Will the all completed races be available on Flotrack? I am looking for some kids races from Friday?
No, Flo is not allowed to go live OR even post race videos after the fact. They can only post interviews and a few highlights. Penn wants to sell their own pay-per-view, which is awful and useless. Apparently the meet was becoming too popular and being seen in too many homes across America, so Penn booted Flotrack and took their meet back to the media dark ages where they apparently think the sport belongs. I encourage you to email Penn Relays and share your thoughts. I and many others already have. Maybe we can convince Penn to wake up and let Flotrack continue to save their meet again next year.

You would have to pay at least that to get in to see it live!

You can tell by the interview that she doesn't presume anything, believes in herself and the hard work that she does. An inspiration to anyone that considers themselves a runner.

The live feed was down for my granddaughters race girls 4x400 event 111.
It could not be retrieved from the archives. I would have driven out to see her run.
does anyone else have video of this race.
