Lauren makes me look at my career and laugh knowing how little i believe in myself even though I was blessed with great health and the ability to get out the door every day and run. she has superb self-confidence even while stuck cross training for months at a time. i admire people like her |

Sometimes injuries can renew the runner and they come back stronger and faster! She is going to be great! Look at it as a great time of rest and now your coming back fresh!!! |

could she be any more awesome? Interviews like this show why this sport and website are absolutely amazing. It doesnt matter how many meets are on TV or whatever people think about tracks popularity(although it is completely disgraceful that NFL people that run people over with their car are given awards and this fabulous role model is not seen more). I would rather have a "niche" sport(although as always- track is the #2 sport in HS) with people like this than a mainstream sport any and every day. Heres to a lot more balls in 2011-2012! |

No one ever mentions it, but I remember when Lauren use to beat Shalane and Kara. She seems like a really cool young lady, the type of person you wish you could get to know. - I hope things work out for her running wise, but I suspect she is going to do well no matter what direction she ultimately heads in. |
