hate to say it but I watched that video multiple times to see what happened to Solinsky...I don't see the push. Yes, the view is blocked but watch Merga, he holds form the whole time. Plus the position of Solinsky relative to Merga at that point makes an intentional push very difficult. |

The idea that shoving for position with several laps to go is "part of real racing" is ludicrous. Makes me think that the commenter may have never been part of "real racing" |

"was it Merga that knocked out both Rupp and Solinsky? Suprised no one is talking about this. After watching Merga's tactics (i.e. bumping) at the Prefontaine 10K I think something needs to be done about this guy." |

Fantastic Run!!!

Legat is at least 10 years older than Farah and is still running PR's and setting AR - Amazing! But that race was horrible and a nasty pushing match! Merga should certainly be disqualified for his aggressive behavior. Rupp was shoved, not pushed to the ground and Solinsky got tripped and then shoved off the track by another runner. They both could have been right there at the end as well! There's nudging people and tapping others but you cant push them in that manner! Diamond League officials like the controversies that bring attention to the sport but competitors suffer. Al Sal should file a petition against Merga for unsportsmanlike conduct. I saw him push aggressively another athlete during the 5K in Paris or shortly before that meet. He's immature and needs to sit out a few races until he can learn to behave himself. |

shame no discussion as of yet about Rupp and Solinsky. I was really looking forward to this this race. I thought Farah would win going in, thinking something around 12:48. He seems unbeatable right now, and I'm happy for him. I also thought that Rupp would be close behind. Really think Rupp is capable of low 12:50's right now. Thought this was to be the race where it would happen. Solinsky was well on his way to another sub 13:00, but I think Rupp is the American to watch outside of Lagat of course. |
