Girma's obviously hurt, he hasn't raced all year...check the results. & their 5th man is still too slow no matter who they put in there....Wisco's top 5 men run together & finish together, TOP 5, not TOP 4....Go Badgers!
Good point, but what if he gets better all of a sudden? Is he even eligible to run? And could it be that OSU's top four would beat all of Wisco's top 5 if the Badgers stayed in the pack too tightly? If Kipchirchir has an amazing day this could happen. Still it's a slim chance but the math doesn't add up. It's like Smith said -" WISCONSIN would have to miss their plane" hum mm mm.... that gives me an idea! Ha!

winner's only 2 years ago

Thank God Lawi isn't on a team that's favored for the win or else he would be forced to run as a pack instead of going for the more important individual win.
You always remember the singer and not the song.
Gerry Lindgren in the 60's. Nick Rose in the 70's. Joe Falcon in the 80's. Bob Kennedy in the 90's.
Have no idea the teams that won in their races.

Geezer Results 2 years ago

Agree, but the team race should be fun to watch.....3 or 4 teams have legitimate shots, but OSU & Wisconsin have to be the early favs. Should be tight!

XC FANATIC 2 years ago

Haven't heard anything about Girma this year. Their 5th runner is a freshman. Didn't run Joesph Manilafasha or Johnathan Stublaski.
And even if Girma does run at nationals, how healthy is he?
Wisconsin looks stronger at the moment.
However , Smith doesn't like showing all of his cards just yet.
Can't wait for nationals.
Lawi is clearly the favorite for the win Hopefully, some can stay with him for a while or else the tv camera is going to focus on him like they do every year with whomever's leading the race.

why don't they have the official results up yet?

xcfan 2 years ago

OSU didnt run two of the regular guys or Girma. they won't be that far back on 5th man at nationals

Geezer Results 2 years ago

That 5th man will kill OSU's hopes at Nationals.......24th @ regionals??? How many do you think are going to separate that gap wider at Nats? Wisco looks good, CU & even OU all have a great shot at dethroning the pokeboys!!!

OSU ran brilliantly. Way to pack it together guys. Ha! Ha! I think Wisconsin and Colorado are not going to find it as easy as some have been saying. These guys are one incredible orange machine and when it rolls into town baby, you had better look out! I can smell a 3-Peat coming a mile away! Way to frick'in go! Bring it on!
