just watched interview with Edward after the race. There is no way he is in high school. This man talks like he freaking 23 and been running for a while. Listen to his voice and look at his face. He looks old!!! I know boys American born that look African born and they don't even look as old as Edward. Futsum looks older than the other boys too but he seems like he might be 19 or 20. Edward is clearly a cheat and liar. They should somehow test how old these boys are otherwise the whole point of this race is ruined.you sound so ignorant right now! Stop hating on these africans. Futusm is 18 and Cheserek is probably 17 people hold back there kids all the time to get better for football. These two guys are only a year older than some kids. #stophatingonafricans |

These complaints all seem shi#t stirring and desperate at best. If you're white and born and raised in the States then you just have to accept the fact that it's no longer and hasn't been for some time now, a mono-cultural sport where Jim Ryun types win all the big races. Sure, it might be nice to see local atheletes and blood relatives athetically succeed but the system we have in place made it possible for your ancestors to come here as well to this soil and excell, and hopefully it will continue to do so for long, long time to come! You can either hide behind the cynicism and start switching sports i.e - Triathelon or go with the situation and train even harder, work more effectively and stop being so soft! These guys aren't "gods", They're beatable like anyone else! |
