Regardless of how one feels about Bolt. Situations like today are probably why it's inadvisable to build the entire sport's PR around ONE GUY.I realize I exagerate, but not by much.

Usain Bolt, the fastest man in the world, gets disqualified after false starting in the 100m Final at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu. With Bolt out, his training partner Yohan Blake, went on to win the gold medal in the event.
correct me if im wrong... but i think the fastest man in the history of the human race, deserves to be y.. especially.. in a footrace..And if you pay attention to the sport, DQ's happen all the time, from the 100 to the 400. Theres already been a handful a few days into the championships. And to the Anonymous Coward who thinks an Intelligence Quotient test has anything to do with reaction time, you're either an idiot or a successful troll
Wow! There are some pretty negative comments on this thread. I personally like the show boating it makes it more exciting and it makes people care. Sports are good when there are love em or hate em teams and athletes. If there is no emotion then there is no sport.
Yeah, guys you need silverlight from Microsoft. It screws up on my mac, so I know it is a pain..... Sorry about that, but that is the player universal uses.
To the big 3 sprinters of the world: thanks for nothing. This is what happens when the 3 fastest men of all time go to great leanghts to avoid racing each other, saving everything for one big final at the end of the year. One, by one they each go SNAFU and by the time that big final actually goes off, none of the 3 is even in the race. The biggest show in T+F is vaporware. Tyson, Bolt, Asafa, in coming years PLEASE just race each other regularly when you have the chance. You 3 could make the biggest splash the sport has seen in decades if you would just get over yourselves and RACE. It doesn't have to be the WCs or the Olympics. Strike while the iron is hot, because one, two, or all three of you will flake out or get hurt the next week and we'll never see you race at all!Congratulations to Blake and Dix. Track runners who adopted the radical approach of actually running in track meets this year and now have World Championship hardware to show for it while the big 3 looks like total flakes.
