147.1 on the 800 split....wow. Yep, Oregon played bully, looks like and paid the price. What a race!

Indoor should be converted into a pure relay sport!!!!

That would be sweet!

True that! Indoor is fun and all, especially the distance medley! But outside of the fun relays indoor really doesn't have much glory!

If you can win both I guess you are a super stud.

However the outdoor title is really the only one that matters.

Good point.
I think that indoor is way overrated.
I guess it can be good for some runners who need a confidence boost. Make them feel like they can win again like they did in high school.
But you guys are totally right too many people emphasize indoor way too much. If you win indoor without winning outdoor you need to re-assess the concept of peaking. Very few people win both.

You are right Indoor for the most part is pointless. If you when indoor and you don't win outdoor you are a fool and need a new coach!!!!!
Indoor titles mean nothing! It like being the first one done with the warm up. Sometimes coaches forget about outdoor track!!
It is a lot easier to win indoor though so maybe that is appealing to some runners.

1. Batty Needs a bigger Jersey!!!!! It looks nasty with his belly flopping around.

2. Fast times!!! Weather has been superb in U.S, I think we are seeing a lot of people reach earlier peaks. Its only february and track is a LONG SEASON. Lets just hope batty doesn't burn out. I guess we should include Chris Derrick in that list as well.

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

Anyone realize Batty only ran .6 tenths faster that Derrick? When Batty got he baton he was 1.6 seconds ahead of Derrick. He finished 2.2 seconds ahead of Derrick. Therefore he only really increased his .6 seconds. So Derrick had to have run in the 3:57 too.

Is it just me, or does Miles look like Biff from Back to the Future?

Who knows 1 year ago

Looks like Oregon's guy was trying to bump ASU out to lane 3

Robert Radlich 1 year ago

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago
