Jordan was in San Luis Obispo at her parents house over the Christmas break (I see her Dad at the gym and we always chat about her running). During her break, there were eight straight weeks with temps in the 70's during the entire time. I saw her at the CAL POLY track running where it was warm, she was sweating, and sporting a nice tan. San Luis Obispo is one of the few places in the world you can get a tan during the winter. You don't have to go to Hawaii. |

Tan comment

They weren't implying anything bad, they were just making a statement. I don't see why there's so much anger towards it. |

Probably a 90% chance she was in Hawaii for the holidays with her folks. What's the big deal? |

"These kids" just don't want to hear something like "She's always tan, which I find amazing; she lives in Oregon which is a very rainy, rainy climate" when they're watching an indoor mile. Implying that an athlete is fake baking, as part of your mid-race commentary, is a "chump" move. Although it's not THAT big of a deal, it's certainly not the kind of thing that Jordan's fans want to be thinking about towards the end of an exciting race. Just "get over it" and don't do it again, pal :) |

What times would those be? She is 50 meters behind the best in the USA, let alone the world. She has ZERO chance at the 1500. |

Easy there, "Cold Reality".... Jordan's times would prove otherwise. She definitely has a shot for 2012. |

The comment about her skin color was un-called for (Was that passive aggression? If you have beef with Hasay, try to leave it out of race commentary). It's too bad that Friday came so far off the pacer - they probably would have hit the auto. |

I agree...

The skin pigmentation comment was out of line. WTF for sure. |

Hasay has zero chance for the Olympics. She is just too small. Will get eaten alive in the 1500, those 4:00 women look like Amazons. She might be good at the 5000 someday, but that's going to need Altitude training among others things. Maybe 2016. |

I'm trying to stay on my toes here and keep track of what the coaches at Oregon are up to. So Anne Kesselring was the rabbit here, that was an 800 training run for her. Jordan got a good run in and Becca Friday had a fantastic last lap. Closed a big gap on Jordan and :37 has to be a big PR for her. Both Jordan & Becca beat the Meet Record and Friday has already gone 2:05 in the 800. Duck Soph. Patrignelli went 4:53, probably a PR for her too. The wheels are turning in the coaching staff's heads all the time. Going to be a great year. |

Thanks for the coverage of that mile from Hasay. So much better than Friday's DMR. |
