He used to run 24-7. He's a member of my family and everyone in my family used to tell stories of how he ran ALL the time..... He ran on Christmas, Thanksgiving, every day any free time he was running. These people are jealous that they dont have the work ethic that my cousin does!

Brad was a Great runner, me and him are the same age. While was living and competing in Brazil I knew about how good this guy from Oregon was at a such young age. I was lucky enough to see him running at Sacramento International marathon, in lows 2'13 in a windy /rainny day, finishing in 2nd behind a Kiwi runner that made the New Zeland olimpic tem. . For you young runners that doesn't know, brad would had run a 2'10 marathon or under, in good conditions. Guys, do a little a little reasearch, than talk. All the best for Brad in his coach career.

why aren't those athletes named in this interview named on the web site as the elite athletes training this this group? The only athletes named on the web site are cyclists and triatheletes.

brad looks much better

Hudson's the man 12 months ago

I hope those first two questions were supposed to be a joke.

Hudson is awesome and a really good coach. He looks better then all the skinny twerps out there. If you're not running 100+ miles a week... this is how you're supposed to look.

I thought his come back was great! Ha! Look man, he did his time, put in the miles and can afford to chilax a bit. I'm sure if he was really offended big time in someway, he simply would have walked. He was shown what was going to be posted and obviously had no problem with it and neither should you!

Flotrack, edit out the inappropriate parts to give us something respectful and of quality. Then we can come back and use this site. Your advertisers may not advertise here if you lose visitors to this site due to this kind of treatment of people. I stopped the video after the first 2 questions which should not have been asked. We don't care to hear that stuff. I'd fire the interviewer for asking them. When I give interviews about my career there are rules as to what is appropriate. I would have ended the interview after the first question.

cant believe they even asked him those first questions, wow

Please don't debase Brad any further by having him address questions of haters and detractors..ridiculous. His life and successes speak for themselves..he's above this sort of B.S...

Believe it or not! 1 year ago

Here's a bit of old school trivia for ya folks - Yea, Brad did run all those miles as a kid and he was crazy fast! Van Cortladt Park, 5k High School indoor record, etc, etc. I raced him once when he was 12, I was 14. He ran 2:48 for the marathon and I beat him and ran 2:46! Absolutely true! So what, he's put on a little weight, so have a lot of guys over 40!

Bigcato8,

you could say the same thing about plenty of former elite runners. That doesn't take away from their accomplishments in the sport. Hudson's focus is now on coaching and not his own training.

Bigcat08 1 year ago

I think the most annoying thing is that he doesn't look fit now! To me a true champion maintains a healthy lifestyle for life... why can't he maintain it now? to me there's no excuse. Whether or not he achieved anything is the past does not reflect how I feel about this guy now.

Brad Hudson was an elite runner and his coaching results speak for themselves. Very knowledgeable guy.

Question for Brad: Everything points to Ritzenhein and Tadesse being able to run 2:06 in the marathon, yet they are 2:09 and 2:10 marathoners--why?
