Farrell Fano! 3 months ago

Exactly he ran 335 at NIKE! 337 was his OSU PR which is what we're talking about... overall farrell is just an all around better runner than German, he can run 356 for the mile, jog a 751 3k, 1315 5k, all the way to a 2913 10K, you have to give farrell his credit, I hope German can continue to improve but its going to take alot of Salazar training...

German ran 3:37 while still at OSU. He ran sub 3:35 when he was with NIKE.

choked when it counted 5 months ago

then they all did horrid in the Olympics..

OSU FAN what are you talking about....German ran 3:35 got the A standard for worlds... ))))

I know German did. I was responding to the prior post. Read closer.

Oh and for all you German Fernanadez fans, i believe German hasn't touched his 1325 since FR year and Farrell just went out and did a 1315, german also hasnt touched his 355 since FR year while Farrell has done 356! So farrell is far better than German, and is the best in OSU history...... ))))

The best in OSU history???? I didn't realise that OSU is no longer offering track at the college?

Everybody did alright, but everyones forgetting about one name, TOM FARRELL, the guy is technically a junior in college and just ran a 13:15.31, hes only 21 years old! He by far had the best performance of today, if wouldnt have been redshirting and ran NCAA's he hands down would have beat Lalang, Levins, and Chelimo! Hes only ran ran 341 and 752, no one had him at 13:15, so you guys need to acknowledge the best.... I bet yall will be talking about him in a couple of years, go TOM FARRELL!!!

David didnt get the A standard

Lomong is a beast!! Hell yeah that's what I like to see! He's so fast he has to finish twice

X 1 year ago

@1:47... did anyone see that? It looks like paul chelimo pushes another runner into the rail and off the track... Is that the same runner that is laying on the track at 3:03???

How do you make the darn video 1 year ago

How do you make the darn video play? Why can't they use some regular video player so regular people can watch?

Kevin Liao 1 year ago

Hasn't Torrence already hit the A standard in the 1500?
He hasn't done it since the qualifying window for London opened on May 1, 2011.

Mark Sidor 1 year ago

i've made the same mistake, only i under-counted the laps and kinda jogged it in lol

Mike Mather 1 year ago

Wasn't really paying attention to the lap count watching it live. Lamong began his kick and I thought Wow! What a beautiful kick, finished like a 200 meter man! Then He and I both realized at the same time there was one to go. That's the difference between Lopez and me. That would have let all of the wind out of my sails. But he quickly gathered it up and toughed out the final lap. As seen in the replays, a standing "O" for this guy, and high 5's all the way around on the cool down. Track fans recognize a great performance, even with the mistake. Ever follow a leader down the wrong trail in a cross-country meet? I can remember a few.

yeah, go Flo! i sat next to ryan hall and his wife last night @ Stanford. i didn't notice him until he got up to leave (before the 10k, mistake dude) because he has a shaggy beard. must be focused

go Flo 1 year ago

the fact is that Flotrack is without rival in terms of track and field coverage - especially when it comes video coverage. most other sites link to flotrack videos. stop complaining about little stuff when this is, in fact, by far the best option to get your running fix. well done Flotrack.

to Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

so you mean to tell me Ryan should only eat while he is on an airplane? ...because that's about the only time he is not busy. Personally, I feel that occasionally eating during a broadcast gives these videos a unique touch that sort of make the viewer feel like they are in the stands with a group of friends.

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

Ryan needs to stop eating during flocasts.

just to note 1 year ago

alan webb's 1500m started at 7:46 pm. he ran 3:38. If he would have sat back in the 1500 he might have done better, but he front runs and fades like clockwork... His 5000m race ended around 8:26pm. he ran about 13:39 and led the first 3k or so. basically no rest....he's getting back in it

Dan Knewitz 1 year ago

Hasn't Torrence already hit the A standard in the 1500?

tough battle? 1 year ago

it wasnt a tough battle when HIll beat Estrada, Diego led the entire race and Hill sat and kicked, it is an amazing time and was an awesome race but thats the easiest way to when (I know it was still very hard) just sayin, no battle

hmmm 1 year ago

lamong is a beast, on the other hand david torrence and tom farrell probably had the most impressive races to me, I wonder how David feels knowing he went for the 1500 A standard and didnt get it, decides to run a 5K and gets it?!? lol crazy

bell bell lap 1 year ago

they never rang a bell on any races last night. it was strange

Alan Webb's Ghost 1 year ago

Was there a bell are gun for the last lap? Couldn't hear.

Farrell took German's school record off the books!

Ben Stout 1 year ago

I can see Lomong breaking 13 this year in the 5k. It looks like he'll be one of the favorites to make the team now.
