You should have said that you were still running the 10k!

That is awesome 11 months ago

Words cannot describe how awesome that is. You guys rock

Chase Wade 11 months ago

haha Ryan and Alex... You should of been like "No! Copper! and taken off running".

And NBC's coverage hasn't been to bad. Trust me it has gotten so much better than it was in '08. Actually bringing a british guy in that knows Ritz and Galen and everyone else has made it a lot better.

just po po not know knowing 11 months ago

they are small town police looking through cop lenses. they are not hired and trained to look into and deduce things like credentials around flotracks necks as being ok. kinda stupid policing but also kinda stupid ft didn't ok this with a simple word before walking the track. there will be and should be security at these events and we can't expect them to understand things we think they should. clearly they can't. but it could be bad for ft if they make simple calls like this and create bad pr through the grapevine. just ask next time you guys... love the coverage and crack recap around the track is bomb...

Best guerrilla performance since U2's live video of "Where the Streets Have No Name" was shut down by the Los Angeles police! (see YouTube)
Way to stick it to The Man! Rock on Flotrack!

freshamn runner 11 months ago

where they actually arrested... HOW can nbc say they love sports when they dont even talk about any runner in full depth

Anonymous Coward 11 months ago

how many people love their job so much, they would get thrown in jail for it lol

Anonymous Coward 11 months ago

No such thing as over exposure in track and field

Anonymous Coward 11 months ago

To the guy whop said "These cops were obviously hired by USATF to prevent overexposure of the Trials."

I lol'd. Well done.

Guys...

You do such a better job than NBC. They don't help the sport by limiting the exposure. I just have to accept the realization that I am not going to watch the full 5 & 10k. Maybe if I pray hard enough someone will post it on YouTube.
Hence, I don't plan to watch any of NBC's coverage.
Thank you guys for the service you provide.

Flotrack should start an online petition to ask the NCAA and USATF to require ESPN, NBC, CBS, and others to post full video of all races and events online as a requirement of broadcast rights. Imagine showing the kickoff and then then last two minutes of the Superbowl...that's what this feels like to true track fans. They can show Joe Sixpack and the fat couch potatoes their over-edited and hyper-stylized glossy graphics, human interest features, abbreviated and condensed events, and musically-scored drama. Then show the rest of us the actual footage of the sport that we love. The technology exists, it costs nothing, and can be advertiser-supported. And we will still click through Flotrack to find all of this footage. Everybody wins! Amirite?

See how those guys stare you down to intimidate you before they really know that you are good guys. That's a reason people don't want to cooperate with those MFers.

"Don't come to Oregon!". 11 months ago

The trials needed to be held at a different place anyway. Only go where your pass allows you. "Don't come to Oregon!".

These cops were obviously hired by USATF to prevent overexposure of the Trials.

Don't let this aggression stan 11 months ago

I can't believe they were treated that way at the end. They have done so much for the exposure of running and track in the US, and a major reason why "Tracktown" is track town.

I bet you an NBC reporter wouldn't get treated like that being down on the track. This is what is wrong with America. The billion dollar corporate being privileged, and the grassroots level entities (who are ironically in better touch with the sport and fans better) are treated like sh*t.
Don't let this aggression stand. Fight the power. Flashmob Hayward Field.

BS 11 months ago

Flotrack does more for this sport than any major network, yet are treated like that? WTF. No respect. No respect at all. Vin, do something about this injustice. They were doing nothing wrong. In fact, they were doing what NBC won't do - covering running for real and thoroughly.

Total BS. I say flashmob the Haywark track. Show these fascists who really covers running (and it's not the billion dollar networks).

flotrack dont get no respeck.

JackPackage 11 months ago

Damm that ugly ass cop @5:43 look at you like u were some terrorists... Flotrack should have covered USA Trials, not that NBC, who know so little about track and show just as much 11hours out of 67........

I like how you kept filming to the end. The show must go on!
