Pretty sure I saw Lomong motion to Galen and Galen was still celebrating, I was slightly bummed but at the same time, you're at Hayward, breaking Pre's record so there's a lot of excitement there. Just lost in the moment and he was facing the spectators and clapping towards them so I'd like to think that he's also thanking the crowd. In a majority of interviews, all the athletes talk about the magic that the spectators provide and in an atmosphere like the trials and accomplishing what he did, you can't really fault or pick at a guy who probably has a lot happening in one moment. It's super exciting for the sport so let's be pumped! |
