There aren't many guys on the BYU squad who aren't Mormon. Conner Peloquin knew that BYU was perfect for him even though he wasn't Mormon. Peloquin talks about the misconceptions about coming to a school like BYU and recommends the undecided to check it out.

Connor Peloquin is a boss! He knows how to prioritize, and that is what makes him a great runner.

Personally I think it's awesome that Mormons strive to live such a high morality life. Keeps the important things in life, important. So many people are way too concerned about when the next time they can get laid or party is. Props to the guys who realize what is important in life.

Virgin my - "Porn, BS religion, strip clubs, etc..."

Lets really try hard here not to go negative! Sure, there are a lot of Mormon hypocrites out there but no more so than any other denomination, religion, faith, sect or group! Most of the Mormons that I've known have been really great people, chilled-out and very friendly. You don't have to agree theologically with someone to be good friends or even raining partners!

do they play board games for fun?

I'm sure most Mormon guys rub one out in privacy from time to time. Most mormons I know DO NOT follow any part of that code. One of my brother's friends is Mormon and while on his mission would ask my brother to send him porn through the mail. When my brother got married, it was this same Mormon friend who took him to a strip club for his bachelor party. Oh but he pretended to be this holy Mormon person who was pure and clean. It's such a BS religion.

I would kill my self with that "honor code" no wonder mormon guys and girls get married so quickly. By age 19 or 20 most mormons are already married with kids. Can't blame them, that's the only way the church lets them get laid. BYU...no thank you. So, Miles Baty was a virgin? at age....25, 26? man. Props to the guy for holding out that long.

Almost! 8 months ago

Ya know, I really liked that interview and have absolutely no problem with Mormons or their beliefs and their "Honor Code" sounds like just the kind of rigorous discipline that some athletes despirately need! But dude...... NO COFFEE!!!! Dude, I think I might die a hard painful death without my Starbucks in the morning!!!! HA!!!! But other than that, sounds like an awesome place to train, race and get a soild education!

The BYU honor code governs not only academic behavior, but morality, and dress and grooming standards of students and faculty, with the aim of providing an atmosphere consistent with LDS principles.

The Honor Code requires:
Abstinence from illicit drugs, alcohol, tobacco, coffee, and tea (substances forbidden by the LDS Word of Wisdom)
Honesty
Encouraging others in their commitment to keep the Honor Code
Living a chaste and virtuous life:
Appropriate gender-specific behavior (no sexual harassment)
No involvement with pornographic or indecent material
No inappropriate sexual activity (no sexual relationships outside of marriage)
No behavior
Obedience to the law
Active participation in Church services (according to whatever religion of which one is a member)
Respect for others
Clean language
Following the "Residential Living Standards" (visiting hours for members of the opposite sex)
Dress and Grooming Standards . Abiding by the guidelines for dress, grooming, and housing. Skirts must reach to the knee and shirts may not be sleeveless. Form fitting, strapless and revealing clothing is not appropriate. Male students may not wear beards or goatees without permission; such permission is usually granted only to men with skin conditions aggravated by shaving or for theatrical performances requiring beards. While BYU used to grant permission for religious purposes, this is no longer recognized as a valid exemption.
Students are prohibited from having guns on campus.
