whatever works but I disagree. The only valid point he had is that the weather might have caused you to run a little slower or youre sleeping pattern or something, but then it's not that valid because our coach has us record all those details so you always know exactly what's going on, and it doesn't even take more than 3 minutes, if you don't have 3 minutes to spare to help your running then don't say you're serious or commited or that you want to be the best.

Patrick is the man, you guys need to be less critical... I'd like to see you guys interview after hitting the splits that he hit in his 25k tempo. Also his mind was probably at work (which he was an hour late for)

While a training log may cause mental distress as stated in this interview, I find it critical for a coach to maintain a record for each of his or her athletes in order to get the most out of them. Sure it's no fun to log your workout when your performances are down; but that's why Flotrack running logs allow you to create new fields to help identify conditions (e.g. time, weather, mood, etc.).
