Wisconsin Mid-Season Rainy 2ks
At the time, the #1 ranked Wisconsin Badgers run a mid-season workout just days before the Wisconsin Invite in the wind and rain. Due to the conditions the workout was changed from grass to the track. The workout features the Wisco team included Olympic Mo Ahmed and Reed Connor who ran unattached on their Invite. With these two, the Badgers could be worthy of the past #1 ranking. Time will tell... Jordan Hasay after race with emotional Oregon women hearing news at 2012 NCAA XC Champs
Both the Oregon Ducks and Jordan Hasay came into the weekend as some of the favorites to win NCAA titles. The Ducks, after a results mishap, came out on top with a dominating 69 point win over the Providence Friars. Hasay nearly doubled the fun for the Ducks when she narrowly missed winning her first NCAA XC title to Betsy Saina. It was an emotional day for the Oregon women after battling their own internal struggles throughout the season.

Mohammed Ahmed leaves hungry and has a big message for the top dogs after NCAA XC 2012
Mo Ahmed returned from his first Olympic Games experience with a new sense of confidence and motivation heading in the 2012 XC season. He had a shorter base buildup than past years but he did not want to let that stop his focus of trying to win an NCAA title in his last cross country season as a Wisconsin Badger. Although he fell short of the goal he comes away from the race learning that he has more to learn and room to grow as a runner. Just because you want it badly doesn't mean it will always come quickly. Mo is hungry for the track and leaves a message for the Kithuka and Lawi's of the world.....he is coming for you!

Shalaya Kipp, where she's been and when they saw greatness
A few years ago the name Shalaya Kipp would have been unknown virtually everyone. In a short amount of time coach Mark Wetmore has helped bring the 5:02 high school miler up as an NCAA Champion and US Olympian. Wetmore recalls her high school days when they recruited her and key points along the way that gave a glimpse at her potential. Kipp, the redshirt junior who started the season late due to the Olympic Games, is now rounding into form at the right time. She finished 2nd this past Friday at the Mountain Region and will look to garner her third consecutive NCAA All-American honors (40th as a frosh, 19th as a soph).
