Both the Oregon Ducks and Jordan Hasay came into the weekend as some of the favorites to win NCAA titles. The Ducks, after a results mishap, came out on top with a dominating 69 point win over the Providence Friars. Hasay nearly doubled the fun for the Ducks when she narrowly missed winning her first NCAA XC title to Betsy Saina. It was an emotional day for the Oregon women after battling their own internal struggles throughout the season.

Hasay, Pappas, and Conlon have been selected as All-Americans from this team, number 15 for Jordan. The PAC-12 had more runners on this seasons All-American list than any other conference.

Jordan, you are an amazing runner and such a beautiful person inside and out. You are such an inspiration and everyone is so proud of you. You have changed women's college running and should be proud

Man, Jordan is such a class act. Wish you all the best girl. Hope you pick Alberto as your next coach because he has the tools to help you develop that kick to compete at the next level.

Here's the last three years of Jordan Hasay's "math" at the NCAA Championships. In 2010 Sheila Reid won in 20:06.90, Emily Infeld 2nd 20:09.20, and Jordan 3rd in 20:13.0. She was 6.1 seconds behind the win. In 2011 again Sheila Reid 19:41.2, Jordan 2nd in 1941.8, just 6/10th of a second off the win, and this year Betsy Saina, 19:27.9, Abby D'Agostino 2nd in 19:28.6, and Hasay with the same time, but awarded 3rd place. She was just 7/10th of a second off the win. So in the last two years, just 1.3 seconds off the wins, and with the 3rd year added, 7.4 seconds off all three wins. One could imagine the frustration she was facing, near tears, in the post race interviews. In the time it would probably take you or I to take our foot off the gas and step on the brake, she could have won two NCAA National Championships.

I've been waiting for all of this to hit Abbey Leonardi, the Oregon Freshman. She's had her race face on all season. Being a three-time 2nd place finisher at the FootLocker NE, and finishing 4th at her final FootLocker National, this girl is by no means used to being on the back end of any team. She has fought and trained all season, trying to get better, to contribute more for the team. In the national race she ran 21:12, and it finally hit her in this video. She is a member of the NCAA Championship Team! And just like the rest of Duck girls, out came the tears after this emotional roller coaster they had to endure as the race officials ironed out the problems. Being the smallest girl on the team, she's walking a little taller now. Great season Abbey and welcome to the team!

Jordan Hasay is a class act. She is going to be unstoppable in the next couple of years. Just wait...

RE: Love X-country 6 months ago

i think this was when they first announced oregon as the champs but then they called it unofficial and said providence won (they didn't count pappas as an oregon finisher) so then oregon protested and then oregon finally won it. i hate the ncaa more than i already do now

Why is Anne giving comfort to Abby #295 as if she is sad? They just won the title.

Jordan is always a class act.

should keep it in Terre Haute. They know how to run a national championship and its more spectator friendly.

Bahaha, look at Ryan in the background. His stache is so beast. NCAA really blew it today....but I couldn't be happier with the results.

The NCAA should be deeply ashamed for putting Oregon and Providence through such anguish due to their own ineptitude.
