Another Massachusetts-college miler who was in the 2012 Valentine Invitational mile may also be present in the upcoming race. Eric Jenkins from Northeastern is rumored to make the trip to Boston University that weekend. Jenkins broke 4-minutes at the Valentine Invitational last year with his 3:59.18 finish.
Oklahoma's Riley Masters will also head back to BU. The former University of Maine miler finished second at the 2011 BU Valentine Invitational in 3:58.17.
There won't just be milers who are accustomed to the facility, but the BU Terrier Invitational itself. Former Providence Friar David McCarthy will make his return to the Terrier nearly one year after running the BU facility record of 3:55.75.
Boston College alumnus, Timothy Ritchie, is unconfirmed for the race as well. The now Boston Athletic Association (BAA) athlete took second to McCarthy last year at this very meet with his 3:58.49 finish.
If you want to see more sub-4 miles than you can count on one hand, you should head over to the Terrier Invitational. If you cross those already outstetched fingers, you might even be lucky enough to see an American record in person.
