Bernard Lagat takes back American 2 Mile Record from Galen Rupp at 2013 Millrose Games
A year after his American record was broken by Galen Rupp, Bernard Lagat answered back at the 2013 Millrose Games to reclaim his record by running 8:09.49 which breaks the Rupp's mark by .23. Lagat now holds all US records between 1500 to 5k.

Chris O'Hare breaks the one year old collegiate mile record that was set by Miles Batty at the 2012 Millrose Games by nearly 1.5 seconds. Batty was fourth overall in the race but in front of NCAA foes Lawi Lalang and Ryan Hill.

Lopez Lomong breaks Millrose record with Centro upset in Wannamaker Mile
Lopez Lomong, coming off a surprise indoor 800 PR a week ago, marched in the Millrose for the first time and pulled off the upset when he took down top US Miler Matt Centrowitz. Not only did Lomong win the race, but he also ran the fastest mile time in Millrose history (3:51.21) breaking Bernard Lagat's 2005 record by over 1.5 seconds (3:52.87).
