Monday morning quarterback time! Ashley Higginson and Jordan Hasay are not 1500/Milers this year. They are 3K/3K Steeple and 3K/5K respectively. So what's with a butt-haulin' 1500 with some of the best in the world.? Speed work, sustained kick practice. Hasay is running both the 3K/5K this weekend at the Mountain Pacific Meet at U Dub, Seattle, Washington. I'm sure Ashley, always well-prepared, is getting her ducks all in a row too.

I didn't see it that way. I thought the rabbit was giving her room to go if she really wanted to take a shot at the record. The rabbit paid a lot of attention to who was right behind her for most of the race. She knew exactly what her time splits were and hit them. And as she neared the end of her run, she held her pace but did it out of lane one so they could go. She gave the leader behind her every courtesy.
Not a record but still a beautiful run. Some of the Milrose races were making sloppy use of the rabbits. They were out there by themselves. This rabbit was darn near perfect. It's not often you get to see a 4 flat 1500. Especially this early in the season.
Wow, the woman in second place Siham Hilali really got snubbed in this video. The announcer didn't mention her name when he was talking about the start list, never acknowledged that she was right with Dibaba halfway through the race, and never mentioned that she was 2nd. He did however talk about Hannah England who was 6th who had a slower 1500m PR than Hilali did coming into this race.
