Mance is in his first year at Florida State after spending his first two years of his NCAA eligibility at Southern California. Accoridng to Ira Schoffel of Tallahasssee Democrat, Mance is being charged with resisting an officer without violence and possession of a forged id.
Mance turned 21 years old on March 21st, which happens to be today.
Mance finished fourth at the Olympic Trials in the men's 400-meter dash, which added him to the men's 4x400-meter relay team in London. He was the second leg of the relay team that ran 2:57.05 to finish second to the Bahamas in the final.
Newbold is charged with discharging a firearm and resisting arrest. The 18-year-old won a gold medal for the Bahamas at the 2011 Youth World Championships.
Mance was slated to run the 800-meter run at this weekend's FSU Relays, according to Chris Nickinson of Runnerspace. Newbold was set to the run in the men's 4x100-meter relay.
