Just a Bunch of Foreigners at OSU?
It's the elephant in the room. Oklahoma State's Dave Smith finally address the claim that the Cowboys are "just a bunch of foreigners." Contrary to popular belief, only two athletes on OSU did not go to high school in the United States. Wherever they were born, Smith explains that he recruits based on who will "fit his team." But more importantly, the guys at OSU are a part of something special and share a familial bond that goes beyond nationality.

Dave Smith 3rd after Brutal Battle for Cowboys at NCAA XC Champs 2013
There are not many other ways to put it. OSU is utterly disappointed with their third place team finish. Coach Dave Smith touches on what might have gone wrong today and how the team needs to respond moving forward. Amongst the confusion of what caused the failed opportunity to repeat as national champs, one thing is for sure - the goal for OSU is to rebound from this failure and bring home another NCAA title to Stillwater next fall. As Smith points out, that will be incredibly tough considering NAU loses only Shrader and Colorado doesn't loss anyone in addition to getting Jake Hurysz back.
