Nike has announced that for every run scored at the 2013 Major League Baseball World Series, the shoe company will donate $1,000 to One Fund Boston, Inc. Additionally, for every mile run on Nike+ and tagged with #Bstrong, they will donate $10, up to an overall donation of $100,000.
The fund was started by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino to assist families and victims affected by the tragic bombings at the 2013 Boston Marathon on April 15. One Fund Boston has managed to raise more than $60 million for families, according to their website.

During Game One of the World Series, the Boston Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals by a score of 8-1 at Fenway Park. The Red Sox scored the most runs during the 2013 regular season. The Cardinals scored the most runs as a team in the National League.
