D1 girls champ Fiona O'Keeffe wasn't thinking about time on way to soph course record at 2013 CIF State XC Championships
Though Davis sophomore Fiona O'Keeffe didn't expect a sophomore course record at Woodward Park, she's now sits atop a pretty credentialed list in California XC history. Sarah Baxter, Jordan Hasay, and Julia Stamps are now all behind O'Keeffe after her 16:58 clocking in the Girls D1 race. O'Keeffe is definitely a talent and always looks smooth running up those tough California hills. She's both the present and future of great cross country runners from The Golden State. Watch out. D3 boys repeat champ Aidan Goltra gains redemption at 2013 CIF State XC Championships
"We were all dying, but I just died the least today." Aidan Goltra not only hangs on for the win in the most exciting race of the day, but also gets the fastest time of the meet with his 15:02 clocking. Though the Southern Section boys David Luna and sophomore Austin Tamagno got plenty of hype after running big races this fall, Golta and Campolindo flew a little under the radar and came into form when it mattered most. Throw your rankings out the window. Goltra is your defending Boys D3 champion.
