Cas Loxsom Reflects on his World Junior Experience and the Year as a Whole

null

After a freshman campaign at Penn State that saw Casimir "Cas" Loxsom set a World Junior Record in the 600m, break 1:50 for the first time running a 1:47.9 to auto-qualify for the NCAA Indoor Champs, run the fastest 800 split at Penn Relays, run a PR of 1:46 and qualify to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, you would think things couldn't get better, right? Well Cas went on to win the USA Junior 800 title over fellow freshman phenom Robby Andrews and then he earned a silver medal at the World Championships this past Sunday making him the first American Junior to score a medal at the championships in a middle-distance event. He also lowered his PR in the process.
