The truth is that I am actually a fan of Jenny and have watched her interivews on this site. I always rooted for her as she is an incredible talent, a hard worker, very driven, and a great personality. That said she has always been blithly unaware that some of her comments are less than humble. I never said arrogant. In fact I don't think she realizes how they sound. She has a high opinion of herself which is great. But sometimes she comes off as a bit full of herself. Truth.The Truth is ..... Jenny is a most forthright and honest person. She tells it like it is. What else could one ask, or expect? |

She's not arrogant. Why do people so quickly call runners who state things matter-of-factly "arrogant?" To be a good runner requires an acknowledgment of one's own abilities and fitness. Otherwise she wouldn't even be able to ATTEMPT a 4:28 mile. |

Are there no race videos? If there is can you provide a link?And I like Jenny B (S) but frankly I don't think humility is one of her best qualities. She doesn't mean to be but sometimes some of the things that come out of her mouth are, well, less than humble. IMO.So what exactly came out of her mouth that showed a lack of humility? She didn't speak negatively of any other runners, she didn't predict great things for herself, she never said that coming into the race she knew she'd win, etc. Nothing of the sort. She's gracious, well-spoken and enthusiastic. Nothing negative or arrogant about that. |

I hattte the armory. They are so unorganized there, it's impossible to correctly prepare your race the way they have it set up. |

Ryan doing an on camera interview with a handheld mic instead of the one embedded in the video camera! Flotrack is getting serious. As a CU alum, I'm thrilled to see Jenny getting back on the track and getting a good result. |

People used to hate on Ryan's interviewing skills all the time. IMO he has improved significantly and is far superior to most interviewers you see interviewing distance runners. |

Jenny knows that is important to project that image - but my gut feeling is that it's more of a facade. On the track she is a ruthless, cut-throat competitor; which is the way it should be actually. Go Sim! |
