After giving birth to her first child, Colt, in the fall, Kara Goucher is currently logging big miles in preparation for the 2011 Boston Marathon. On January 28 Kara ran the 5000 at the UW Invitational and then headed directly to the outdoor track for 1200 repeats. Kara will toe the line this weekend at the USA Cross Country Championships in San Diego with collegiate 10k record holder Lisa Koll, American 5k record holder Molly Huddle and American 10k record holder Shalane Flanagan.

I'm so pumped for this next month of racing! USA XC is gonna be crazy on the women's side, New Balance is gonna be amazing, not to mention the OTC guys racing 5k's and 10k's in Australia and New Zealand obviously going for some sick times!

Magness, gosh that guy was one of the top HS runners and went to Rice? I guess doing 50 laps =7 miles will burn anyone out.

If you payed attention to the beginning of the video it stated that he is the Oregon TC assistant coach to Alberto's group. That is why he is in the video talking about Kara. He has moved up very nice for an up and coming coach.
