Flotrack's Best of 2011 - Most Watched Interview! Video Interview- Ryan Hall finishes 4th at the 2011 Boston Marathon in a time of 2:04:58. Ryan Hall's time of 2:04:58 is 40 seconds faster than the current American Record of 2:05:38 held by Khalid Khannouchi from London back in 2004, however the course is not certified for American or International records. Ryan Hall battled up in front the majority of the race, having the lead as late as 20km. In 2010 Ryan Hall became the fastest American ever at the Boston Marathon in 2:08:52. This year he ran almost four minutes faster. Hall's great performance came after he left Coach Terrence Mahon and the Mammoth Track Club. His races leading up to Boston did not indicate the results we saw today as he did not even break 1:03 for the NYC Half Marathon. Ryan Hall will look to run on the track for the 2011 track and field season this summer. The 2011 Boston Marathon was won by Geoffrey Mutai in a time of 2:03:02 which was faster than the World Record time of 2:03:59 held by Haile Gebrselassie.
