Lashinda Demus World 400 Hurdle Champion at Daegu 2011 World Track Championships

Lashinda Demus becomes World 400 Hurdle Champion at the 2011 Daegu World Track Championships after running the #3 mark all-time in the event with her 52.47, just .13 off the world record of 52.34. The win comes 9 years after her 2002 World Junior Championship gold medal in the 400 hurdles. Lashinda Demus becomes the first 400 hurdle champ since 1995 when Kim Batten won in Gothenburg, Sweden. With the time and win Lashinda Demus also set the American Record in the event.
