Eyes on Houston - Brooke Wells

null

Brooke Wells broke through at the 2010 Chicago Marathon. She ran 2:37, racking up a three minute lifetime best and hitting the Olympic Trials A standard. At the time she laughed off the fact that the skin on the inside of her knees rubbed raw in the race. At the time it seemed like it a minor sacrifice for such a great effort. Unfortunately, those wounds were the results of a greater biomechanical issue, and her focus turned to solving a subborn injury over the next seven months. Now healthy, Brooke ran 1:16 at the San Jose R-n-R Half Marathon and is primed for another big effort in Houston. Lifetime Bests: 10000 meters - 33:36.22 Half Marathon - 1:16:14 Marathon - 2:37:39
