you guys are just made cause he beat bayer. good race chelimo that's a kick to watch out for.

Refs? 1 year ago

How bout this for an idea...so running has refs dressed in the stripes at each meet, now these refs need to be enthusiastic much like nfl/other sports refs, when they see this type of infraction they need to be screaming the infraction and why maybe over the loud speakers and call the guys number nice and loud and pull him out of the race. This may or may not raise interest in the sport if the casual fan saw this happen, but I can tell you for certain i'd def. be more interested and would probably die laughing much like I do when other sports refs go crazy, which is one of the only reasons I watch the games

chelimo did his best and deserves the win

Chelimo should not be allowed into ncaa's with that time. he should clearly have been dq'd.

This better not get kick of the week for two reasons:
1) He definitely should have been disqualified for his start. He basically got a head start with the stagger and cut in immediately.
2) His kick wasn't that fast, but was just magnified by Bayer losing ground. I heard splits from Washington and 28 for the last 200 is about what Levins, Thompson, and Batty all hit for the last 200 of the 3k. And they all ran faster without the head start.

Chelimo's last 200m was 28 sec

most likely

Seriously 1 year ago

Seriously, not only did Chelimo gain like 10 meters by cutting in early, he also only caught Bayer because he absolutely died (50.5 last 300m). What was Bayer doing? Thats embarrassing...

lipari deserves kick of the week, chelimo made up a bigger distance but only moved up on place. Lipari made up like 6 places on her last lap

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

Kick of the year!

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

bayer should be embarassed he blew that lead if he is indeed 'one of the best in the nation'

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

It does appear that Chelimo cut in too early.

Call it like it is 1 year ago

Yeah I noticed that right away. He totally went out of his alley. DQ? It would be a DQ in say an 800.

Cheater! 1 year ago

Chelimo started in the second teardrop...obvious early cut-in!!!

really nice finish

Lipari's mile win at NBCI should be kick of the week, from next-to-last to the win!

Huh? 1 year ago

Not to knock on the kick or anything, cause it was ridiculous...but is it just me or doe Chelimo cut the curve on the first turn?? I was watching it and he definately starts on the outside teardrop but runs through the curve with the inside teardrop group. Either the rest of the guys on the outer drop failed to cut in at the correct time and cut one curve too late or Chelimo was a curve early, which I think is what happened meaning he should have been technically disqualified. Had he not cut in he may have even missed the auto!
