Stop calling the guy a Doper. He has slowly gotten better every single year. I sat my dad down to watch the Race because he likes Ritz so much. He couldn't believe how well Galen ran and how easy he made it look. Then my dad said "well 4 years ago as a College kid he was running well so its not that surprising to see him 4 years older running like it". The next great white hope, even though The Big Mazungo will always be my fav haha

Rupp is heads and tails above all US distance runners, hands down, no question. He is Americas' best. I think a lot of people just don't realize just how special this guy is right now. Everyone's been wondering, how do you compete with the Kenyans, the Ethiopians, the Moroccans etc., well, you're looking at him. This guy is insanely fit. I just keep thinking he just can't continue on like this, but then he just gets faster, and he seems to be incredibly durable; wouldn't think it just looking at him. Hats off to Salazar too, This is a rare Talent. I am in complete awe of this guy. I don't see how any American can not be pulling for the guy 100%. Regardless of who your favorites are, you've got to just admire the hell out of him. What a runner! The complete package. USDA Certified.

He has really matured and he is now one of my favourite guys, I will buy him to make the finals in London, but I think their are a couple of guys who will and can out kick him including his training partner Mo. Still rooting for the kid though.

Galen made it "look" so easy! Suburb control and pacing; he was in charge the whole time for sure. This guy has matured into one of the best runner ever and knows his game inside and out. The really great thing is that now going into The Games, he has the psychological edge over Kenenisa Bekele and should press that advantage every chance he gets! And with Mo's help, there is noway on Earth he is going to get dumped on that last lap in London! Fantastic Result!
