After seven months away from racing, Chris Derrick's professional debut was a victorious one last weekend in St. Louis. He now moves on to the World XC Championships in Poland where he will lead one of the strongest US teams ever assembled. Healthy and training hard, Chris also discusses the role coaches play in motivating and inspiring him in preparation for major events.
