Lawi Lalang after the 5K loss

It's over before it started. After taking 2nd (4:04.27) in his semifinal of the mile, Lalang returned to the track roughly 2.5 hours later for the 5k. However, his triple crown attempt was thwarted by Oregon's Edward Cheserek and his venomous kick. Despite the loss, an upbeat Lalang looks towards tomorrow's two finals, where he hopes to capture NCAA titles in both the mile and 3k.
