Diamond League Stockholm 2024 Schedule: What To Know

The seventh event of the 2024 Wanda Diamond League season is a quick turnaround and short trip for many of the top track and field athletes in the world. The Diamond League Stockholm will take place June 2, just a few days after the Bislett Games in Oslo, Norway (May 30).

BAUHAUS-galan first was held in 1967 and has been part of the Diamond League schedule since the circuit’s debut in 2010. The event is held each year at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium, which was built for the 1912 Summer Olympics and is the oldest Olympic arena still in use.

The first two stops of the 2024 Diamond League season were held in China – Xiamen (April 20) and Shanghai/Suzhou (April 27). The circuit then visited Qatar (May 10), Morocco (May 19), Eugene, Oregon (May 25), and Oslo, Norway (May 30).

The BAUHAUS-galan will include seven men’s disciplines and seven women’s disciplines, as athletes continue collecting points toward the year’s final event in Belgium.

The invitation-only Diamond League brings together the most elite track & field athletes to showcase their skills, earn prize money, collect points toward the season-ending championship event and ultimately elevate the status of athletics across the globe.

Traditionally, Diamond League competition includes a slate of 16 disciplines, though not every meet features all of them.

Points accumulated during the first 14 events of the season determine the athletes who advance to the final event, where they compete for more prize money and Diamond League titles.

When Is The Diamond League Stockholm / BAUHAUS-galan 2024?

The one-day Diamond League Stockholm (BAUHAUS-galan) 2024 will take place June 2 at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium in Stockholm.

How To Watch The Diamond League Stockholm / BAUHAUS-galan 2024

For audiences in the United States, live coverage of the one-day event will be provided by Peacock and NBC, and the action will get underway at noon Eastern. It is one of six Diamond League events this year being broadcast on Peacock and/or NBC.

FloTrack will provide results, editorial content and more and will do so for all Diamond League events in 2024.

Starting in 2025, which was announced April 10, FloTrack will be the streaming home of the Diamond League for audiences in the United States and its territories (with the exception of any events being held in the United States.

What Events Will Be Contested At The Diamond League Stockholm / BAUHAUS-galan 2024?

Though there will be many events that are part of BAUHAUS-galan, only some will count toward this year’s Diamond League points.

Men (7): pole vault, discus, 400-meter hurdles, 100 meters, 800 meters, 3,000 meters, 3,000-meter steeplechase

Women (7): shot put, high jump, triple jump, 100 meters, 200 meters, 1,500 meters, 400-meter hurdles
