Meet organizers for the 117th Millrose Games announced on Monday morning that U.S. Olympian and Bullis School (MD) junior Quincy Wilson will race against the pros in the men's 600m at the event on February 8.

Wilson, who already clocked 1:17.19 over 600m for U.S. No. 2 all-time among high schoolers earlier this indoor season, will have his eyes set on Will Sumner's 1:15.58 high school national record when he toes the line at the Armory next month.

The 17-year-old will race against fellow Paris Olympian Brandon Miller and Tokyo Olympian Isaiah Jewett in that 600m field.

It's not the first time that Wilson has contested the three-lap distance indoors at Millrose Games. At the 2024 meet, he won the junior boys field of the 600m in 1:17.36, which was at the time the second-fastest mark in U.S. high school history.

The only difference for Wilson at the 117th edition of the Millrose Games? Now, he's got to line up with the pros.

And Wilson has certainly not backed down from the pressure of competing up against pros as just a high schooler. At the U.S. Olympic Trials last summer, Wilson finished sixth in the men's 400m final and logged three sub-45-second performances during the span of the meet. He also went on to run a leg of the men's 4x400m in the preliminary rounds at the Paris Olympics.

Before he took off for Paris, Wilson even beat a notable pro 400m field at the PUMA ATL Holloway Pro Classic in Gainesville, beating the likes of Bryce Deadmon, Matthew Boling and Jacory Patterson, among others.

Meanwhile, Wilson isn't the only one in the 600m field going after a record. Miller will aim to go after the 600m world record of 1:13.77 set by Donovan Brazier in 2022. Jewett will likely try to go after it with him as well.

If someone can snag that world record, it'll come with an even bigger bonus, too. The Millrose Games also announced that athletes who break a world record at the meet will receive an additional $25,000 bonus.

Fans who want to see Wilson in action before the Millrose Games can watch him compete in the 500m at the 2025 VA Showcase from Jan. 17-19 as he tries to go after another high school national record on the indoor oval.
