Josh Kerr Signs Contract Extension With Brooks, Brooks Beasts Through 2034

On Thursday morning, Brooks announced that two-time Olympic medalist, World Indoor 3,000m champion and World Outdoor 1,500m champion Josh Kerr has signed a contract extension with the company and Brooks Beasts Track Club through 2034.

Kerr has been with Brooks and the Seattle-based Beasts since 2018 when he joined the group after a successful collegiate career running for the University of New Mexico. While with the Lobos, Kerr won three NCAA individual titles before transitioning to the pro level with Brooks.

During his time with the Beasts under the guidance of Coach Danny Mackey, Kerr has won the 2023 World Outdoor Championship 1,500m title, 2024 World Indoor Championship 3,000m gold and two Olympic medals -- silver in the 1,500m at the Paris Olympics and bronze in the same event in 2021 at the Tokyo Olympics.

The contract renewal not only extends Kerr's partnership with Brooks through into the next decade, but also continues to grow his platform as a community ambassador and contributing voice for product innovation and testing. That includes continued testing for Brooks' Hyperion line of racing products.

"Josh brings an extremely high expectation of excellence for himself that inspires those around him to raise the bar for themselves day after day as well. We've been proud to be a part of his journey over the past six years since he finished competing for the University of New Mexico as he's grown from an NCAA Champion to a World Champion," said Garrett Heath, head of sports marketing for Brooks.

Kerr will open up his 2025 indoor season competing in the Wanamaker Mile at the Millrose Games on Feb. 8.
