Mya Lesnar Wins Women's NCAA Shot Put National Title

As the final rounds for the women's field events at the NCAA DI Outdoor Track and Field Championships come to a close, Mya Lesnar from Colorado State  claimed the national title in the women's shot put at Hayward Field on June 12.

Lesnar entered the competition ranked as the No. 1 women's collegiate shot putter in the country, and she did not disappoint at Hayward Field. Lesnar recorded her best attempt at 19.01 meters, just one meter shy of tying the collegiate record.

Mya is the daughter of WWE superstar Brock Lesnar, which makes it no surprise that she's been able to dominate in the world of collegiate track and field. Mya joins her father as a fellow NCAA champion as Brock Lesner won the 2000 NCAA Division I Championship in wrestling.

She was named the 2024 NCAA indoor shot put champion last season and has claimed four Mountain West Conference titles.
