The move marks a major career milestone for Frech, who has become a global ambassador for adaptive athletics and is expected to be a key figure in the lead-up to the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
The signing comes after an already decorated international career for Frech. At 16 years old, he competed in the delayed 2020 Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo, placing 5th in the high jump T63 with a personal best of 1.80m and 8th in the long jump T63 with a mark of 5.85m.
At the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships in Paris, he claimed gold in the high jump T63, setting a world record of 1.95m, and also competed in the long jump. In 2024, he added a silver in the high jump and placed 4th in long jump at the World Para Championships in Kobe.
Frech broke his own world record at the 2024 U.S. Paralympic Trials, clearing 1.97m in the high jump and setting a new U.S. record in the long jump at 7.05m. He followed that up at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, winning gold in the 100m T63 with a time of 12.06 seconds and another gold in the high jump T63, clearing 1.94m on his first attempt, a new Paralympic Games record.
