Multi-talented jumper Sam Hurley has announced he is transferring to Texas Tech.

Multi-talented jumper Sam Hurley has confirmed he’ll now suit up for the Texas Tech track and field program. Hurley had previously announced on June 24 that he had entered the transfer portal after four standout years at University of Texas.
At Texas, Hurley carved out an elite legacy across both pole vault and high jump. Among his career highlights:
- No. 2 all-time at UT in pole vault, with a personal best of 5.52m (18-1.25)
- No. 6 all-time at UT in high jump, clearing 2.21m (7-3)
- 2025 Arkansas Invitational Champion (pole vault)
- 2023 USTFCCCA Outdoor Second Team All-American (high jump)
