Cordell Tinch Claims 110m Hurdles Title At World Athletics Championships
American Cordell Tinch claims the 110 Meter Hurdles title at the 2025 World Athletics Championships

On the biggest stage of his career, American Cordell Tinch delivered in emphatic fashion!
Running into a slight headwind, Tinch clocked 12.99 to secure the 110 Meter Hurdles title during Final Round competition at the 2025 World Athletics Championships.
His 12.99 mark (which was corrected from the initially announced 13.01 moment's after the conclusion of the race) outlasted spectacular efforts from the Jamaican duo of Orlando Bennett and Tyler Mason, who produced times of 13.08 and 13.12 to finish second and third overall, respectively.
On the start line, Tinch appeared focused and composed and once the gun sounded, the broadcast announcers complimented his concentration and lack of wasted movement en route to victory.
Other notables in the field consisted of local favorite Rachid Muratake and Tinch's American teammate Ja'Kobe Tharp.
Muratake, representing Japan, finished fourth in 13.18 while Tharp wrapped up his World Championships experience with a 6th place finish in 13.31.
Tinch punctuated his performance with a boisterous display of emotion as he crossed the finish line.
