Today, HOKA announced that it has signed Sinclaire Johnson to it's Elite Athlete Team ahead of the 2026 Track and Field season.

Johnson is slated to race the mile at the 2026 NB Indoor Grand Prix this weekend, and it will be her first race in her new HOKA racing kit. Notably, she is the American Record Holder in the mile on the outdoor oval.

For HOKA, the addition of Sinclaire Johnson marks one of the most prominent signings in the brand's history.

In July, at the London Diamond League meeting, Johnson ran 4:16.32 to set the new all-time mark. She finished fourth in that race, which acted as a springboard for the rest of her season.

At the 2025 US Championships she finished second in the 1500m to book her ticket to Tokyo. She eventually finished 13th at the World Championship.

Then in December, Johnson set another American Record in the Road Mile at the Kalakaua Merrie Mile. She ran 4:21.66 for the overall win.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the HOKA family. I’ve spent my career learning and growing through every change, and this partnership feels like the perfect fit for this next chapter,” said Johnson in a provided statement. “HOKA is a brand that truly puts people first, which really resonates with me. Community is everything, it keeps me grounded, motivated ,and supported as I chase my goals. I’m excited to make my HOKA debut at the Indoor Grand Prix Mile in Boston and to see how far I can push myself as I go after success at World Championships and the Olympics.”

Previously, Sinclaire rose to stardom at Oklahoma State University, where she claimed the 2019 NCAA 1500m title. She then won her first US Title in 2022. That year, she finished sixth at the World Championships in Eugene.

“Sinclaire represents the very best of our sport, both in her results and in who she is as a person,” said Steve DeKoker, HOKA Senior Director of Global Sports Marketing. “She brings an incredible combination of competitiveness and resilience, and she approaches her career with intention and authenticity. At HOKA, we are deeply human led in how we build partnerships, and Sinclaire embodies the values that matter most to us. We’re excited to support her as she continues to push boundaries on the track and the road.”
