JUNIOR MILERS READY FOR REEBOK BOSTON INDOOR GAMES

Organizers of the Reebok Boston Indoor Games on Saturday, Feb. 7, announced today that the fastest prep milers from both the 2008 outdoor and 2009 indoor seasons would be running their Boys' Junior Invitational Mile.

Andrew Springer (Westerly H.S./Westerly, R.I.), is the top entrant with a 4:10.61 to his credit during the 2009 indoor season.  Brett Johnson (Ocean City H.S./Ocean City, N.J.), who ran 4:11.22 at the Nike Outdoor Nationals last year, is also entered, along with Trevor Dunbar (Kodiak H.S./Kodiak, Aka.), who finished second at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships last December.

The meet record for the Boys' Junior Invitational Mile is 4:07.30 set by Michael Coe in 2006.  At the time Coe was attending Cabrillo H.S. in Lompoc, Calif.  He now attends the University of California at Berkeley.

The 14th annual Reebok Boston Indoor Games, the second stop in USA Track & Field’s Visa Championship Series, begins at 5:00 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center at Roxbury Community College, 1350 Tremont St. Information is now available on-line atwww.BostonIndoorGames.com, and tickets are available on-line or by calling 1-877-TIX-TRAC.
