DII Weekend Review Jan. 29-31

Fast time abounded across the country this weekend from the east coast to the west coast. I was at the Penn State National meet and was able to witness firsthand how quick the PSAC schools were. As usual, I am going to review some of the faster times from this weekend but if I miss anything, please post in the comment section below. Flotrack is a community.

BU Terrier Invite-  Stonehill’s Corey Thomas automatically qualified by winning the high jump in  7’1 and a provisional qualifier in the 55 hurdles with a time of 7.66. Umass Lowell’s Evan White provisionally qualified with a 21.63 in the 200 meters. UMass Lowell’s Donte Brown provisionall qualified in the 400 meters with a time of 47.94 as did American International’s Emmanuel Jean with a 48.63. American International’s Emile Barnett provisionally qualified in the 800 meter with a time of 1:53.47. Umass Lowell’s Angus MacDonald automatically qualified in the mile with a time of 4:07.92.UMass Lowell's Ruben Sanca ran 13:56 PR at Terrier Invite

Umass Lowell’s Haley Catarius (2:13.35) and Southern Connecticut’s Danielle Moore (2:14.32) both provisionally qualified.


Penn State Nationals-
St. Augustine’s Josh Scott hit the automatic qualifying mark in the 200 meters with a time of 21.30. His teammate Antonio Abney automatic qualified in the 400 meters with a time of 47.52. Lockhaven’s Nick Hilton hit the provisional qualifying mark in 4:12.64.  Shippenburg’s dmr hit the provisional mark with a 10:04.92.

St. Augustine’s Barbara Pierre ran a nation’s best time of 7.18 in the semi’s of the 60 meters and won the final in 7.21. Shippensburg’s DMR automatically qualified in 11:25.6.


UNM Lobo Invite
- Adams State’s Anthony Gauthier gain the auto mark with a time of 4:12.74 in the mile.


UW Invite-
  Western Washington’s Ryan Brown automatically qualified in the pole vault with a vault of 5.22m.  Adams State’s Aaron Braun tried to steal a race away from Rupp and Bauhs but ended up third in the 3k with a time of 7:51.68. His teammates, Brian Medigovich (7:55.90) and Luke Cragg (8:05.91) were 5th and 12th. The race here.

Western Oregon’s Annan Applebee bettered her 800 m auto  mark with a time of 2:11.43. Western Washington’s Sarah Porter provisionally qualified with a time of 4:57.29. Seattle Pacific’s Jessica Pixler led line to line with a mile time of 4:33.46. Her teammate, Jane Larson ran an automatic qualifying time of 4:48.87. The race is here. Queen’s Tanya Zeferjahn automatically qualified with a time of 16:13.00 in the 5k. Western Washington’s DMR qualified with a time of 11:46.27.
