Your pick : Andrew Wheating

The USA Championships are 6 weeks away, and we wanted to see who the favorite is going to be heading into Eugene.

The results were astounding. Without a doubt, the undeniable favorite going in will be Oregon alum Andrew Wheating and his killer kick. "The Big Easy" (is there a better nickname we're missing?) has the confidence of over 50% of our nearly 1800 voters. And with his dynamite kick, consistency, and impeccable race tactics, who can blame you?

There figures to be several more key players in the mix that weren't offered as choices. Our apologies to guys like Will Leer, Dorian Ulrey, Evan Jager, Ben Blankenship, etc. But Wheating handily outvoted a list of pretty darn good American milers, including 2008 Olympians Leonel Manzano and Lopez Lomong, and American Record holder Alan Webb. Webb did, however, come in 4th. Over 7 percent of voters expect the unpredictable star to be back in top gear at USA's.

Also, there were several comments calling for a Robby Andrews win. We assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that he'll be doing the 800. If he does do the 1500, he could definitely be a real threat to make the team.
